Research

Spectrogram of Upper SaxonI specialize in intonation (prosody) and breathy and creaky voice quality (phonation), and I've also worked on and off in areas of infant-directed speech, reduplication, and (dis)similarity. I'm starting new work on sign languages of South Asia. I've published work on several languages, including Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Thai, English, and Upper Saxon.

I've included links to PDFs of papers that I have published and to the , an open-access journal I co-edit.

Here's a PDF of my CV.
